The M14 rifle was the standard issue U.S. rifle from 1959 to 1970.The M14 was used for U.S. Army and Marine Corps basic and advanced individual training, and was the standard issue infantry rifle in, Europe, and South Korea, until replaced by the M16 rifle in 1970. The M14 remains in limited front line service with the United States Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, and is also used as a ceremonial weapon. It was the last American "battle rifle" (a term applied to weapons firing full-power rifle ammunition) issued in quantity to U.S. troops. The M14 also provides the basis for the M21 and M25 sniper rifles.
received this gun a few weeks ago now , when it arrived , i opened it and realized that it didn't come with a battery or charger , so i thought 'oh i will use one of my spares' but it was a large type so i couldn't use any spares... so i went ahead and bought an adapter. when i tried to fire the weapon, it didn't do anything at all so naturally i was quite annoyed , i made sure i didn't have safety on and the battery was fully charged , but it still wouldn't fire, i took it apart and it turns out the removable trigger block was bent ,a lot. so i had to hammer that back straight. when i finally got it working (3 weeks after i received the gun) it shoots fine , its actually a really good gun , but i don't think classic army is the way forward , i bought a CA m15a4 and the hop-up rubber was snapped in half , if your gonna buy any gun , try it out in store guys , they have a range to test it out in , take my advise. jack
