A new addition from the Danish manufacturer ASG in the form of a superb replica of the modern M2011 pistol called the STI Combat Master.

DESIGN

At first glance, this model differs significantly from the classic version - the metal slide features cutouts on both sides revealing the rose gold-plated barrel and is complemented by pronounced serrations for easy cocking. Both the front and rear sights are equipped with optical fibers for easy aiming even in low-light conditions, and the rear sight is horizontally and vertically adjustable.

Another characteristic feature is the textured grip made of high-quality polymer, which does not slip even in sweaty palms. The frame is also made of metal and is complemented by polymer parts such as the trigger guard, functional palm safety, and trigger. A standard Picatinny rail with 5 slots is located under the barrel for the possible installation of a laser or flashlight.

FEATURES

Like most CO2 pistols in this price range, the slide is movable and features a blowback system (when fired, the slide moves backward, imitating the recoil of a real firearm).

Other features include the aforementioned automatic palm safety, which prevents accidental discharge when the pistol is not held properly, an ambidextrous manual slide safety that prevents firing when the hammer is cocked, and the icing on the cake is definitely the realistic field strip (the pistol can be disassembled into individual parts such as the slide, frame, and barrel, just like the real version, without the need for any tools).

PROPULSION

The pistol is powered by a single 12g cartridge, which is inserted into a metal magazine with a capacity of 20 steel BBs of 4.5mm caliber. To tighten and activate the cartridge, use the supplied Allen key.

Maintenance

Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the sealing rings can become brittle and crack when exposed to the freezing carbon dioxide over time. This can be prevented by occasional application of silicone oil 1) by a spray bottle, where you simply coat the internal mechanism, 2) by applying a few drops of silicone oil to the nozzle of the inserted cartridge 3) by using an oil cartridge (easiest). It’s also not recommended to leave the activated cartridge in the gun for longer than necessary. If you know you won't be shooting for a while, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
